Thoughts While ShavingCold weather continues, high temps in the upper 30s and low 40s today, 56 degree on Tuesday and 66 on Wednesday.

Yesterday was a beautiful day from the inside looking out.  High temp was 29, low this AM (as of 6:30) was 16 degrees.  All time low for Bladen on this date is 9 degrees, 1970.

Bladen County is one of 12 school districts approved for a Cooperative Innovative High School.  “The new schools were approved pending a financial review to ensure appropriate resources are available to serve them all.”  The announcement posted on the Bladen County Board of Education website.

Speaking of schools, Bladen County is operating on a 2-hour delay for students and staff today, because of the extremely cold weather.

And, land is being cleared on Airport Road in Elizabethtown for Emereau Charter School.  The 26 acre site will be home for the new school that will open this year for grades K-6th grade.  The school is expected to add one grade each year until it accommodates K-12.
