Sunday, church day … still a little awkward … many churches continue using an Internet source to worship … At Wesley’s Chapel UMC, near Elizabethtown, meeting in the multi-purpose building at 11 a.m. … attempting to give everyone lots of space … seems to be working, but as a senior citizen, still aware of COVID-19 … We are currently without a pastor … Dr. Mac Roberts is our interim speaker for the next 2 or 3 Sundays, and all are invited…

How are you dealing with the mask? I forget, not opposed, but forgetful … Traffic not a huge issue in the area … Do see more motorcyclist in the area, mostly on weekends … Must have been several groups around Saturday … Perfect weather … unless there is a thunderstorm in the area…

Weather for today, ’bout like yesterday … Sunny, with a high near 94, and a calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon … Mostly clear tonight, with a low around 74 and a gently south wind around 6 mph.

Monday’s forecast … Isolated showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 103. 60% chance of precipitation. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts in thunderstorms…

A reminder, 2019 taxes are due Wednesday, July 15. The deadline for filing was postponed from April 15, still a ‘must do’…

Anxious parents and students still waiting for answers about the new school year … just a few weeks away…
