Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingThe Entertainers entertained last night at the Cape Fear Farmers Market and despite the hot weather, a good time was had by all.

Three more free concerts are on the agenda, July 28, August 11 and August 25 with a different band at each event.

I always enjoy the British Open Golf Tournament.  Lefty put on a show yesterday.  Phil Mickelson fired a 63 tying the record for the lowest round ever in major championship history.  He barely missed a birdie putt on the 18th for what would have been a new record.

William McGirt, a Fairmont native, posted a 75, 4 over par in his first British Open.  With the cut expected to be about par, he needs a 4 under today to ‘hang around’ for two more days, and after a perfect day for golf yesterday, today is expected to be wet and windy.

Another day of temps in the 90s is our forecast for today. Should feel like 108 degrees.

A reminder of Vacation Bible School at Wesley’s Chapel UMC Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown, beginning Sunday.  Call the church for more info.

Are you ready for “autoport,” an auto that allows you to relax and let new technology do the driving?  Not me, not now.

Another good day on the stock market.  Does wonders for investments including retirement programs.
