I followed, with great interest, the story of the lady ‘snatching’ her own child from a nursery in Bladenboro. Fortunately, all ended well, so far. Pray for all concerned.

Sunset Jams concert series continues Thursday (tomorrow) at Goldston’s Beach, White Lake, featuring Pink Slips. … Fun time and it’s free.

Most recent Sunday School lesson where I attend church was on loving our neighbors. Think our leaders at the national level should practice a little love and respect. Different???? not doubt, but respect one another comes from the good book. Usually avoid politics, but, think all need a prescription for a dose of respect. What do you reckon our youngsters must be thinking?

Speaking of youngsters, remember the Dixie Youth team preparing for a trip to Louisiana for state playoffs. Fundraising efforts are underway. How much? No idea. Playoffs could last a couple of days or nearly all week long, depends on their success on the playing field. Donations are being accepted.

High temp today near 96 with a heat index as high as 105, and a 30% chance of precipitation, less than a tenth of an inch expected, except higher amounts in thunderstorms. Same forecast for the next several days. …
