Thoughts While ShavingAre you concerned about the future of our nation?  As much frustration as I have seen in a long time.

Groups around the county, state and nation are meeting to share concerns, attempt to reach out to others, and seek direction to tread the troubled waters around us.

Republican convention is underway.  I am not a regular viewer, but from what I have seen and heard, no more confusion than some in the past, despite a candidate that does not ‘shy away’ from controversy.

High School football practice begins in 2 weeks, on August 1.  Usually begins in very hot weather, coaches and players hope the season does not end until late November or early December.  That’s when the playoffs end.

Check our list of Upcoming Events.  A wide range of activities are listed.  A special event is planned for Sunday, July 31st, a meeting of Friends and Alumni of UNC Pembroke who are hosting a reception in honor of Chancellor Robin Gary Cummings and Mrs. Rebecca Cummings at Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin.  The time is 4 to 6 p.m.  You need to RSVP by July 25.  We have listed the contact info on the page.

Have you used Uber transportation yet?

Dear God, help me to guard my tongue and learn to say the right thing at the right time for the right reason in the right way.  Help me, too, to know when to keep my mouth shut.

Dedication is not what other expect of you, it is what you can give to others.

Dieting is wishful shrinking.
