Anyone plant radish? Why?

Not sure what prompted that question … Do you still plant a garden? I haven’t planted a garden in 50 years or more … As a youngster … a big family … mom and dad and 6 youngsters, it was important to all … Still not sure why we planted radish … No problem with collards, cabbage, Irish potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, beans, peas, carrots, tomatoes, okra and more…

I think back about advice neighbors shared … seldom solicited … Like green peanuts and fish will make you sick … Maybe … I remember that combination, but no memory of it causing serious problems…

‘Bout this time of year … humpteen years ago … would begin to see tents popping-up in the area. Evangelist came to town … 25 to 50 folding chairs, a PA system and an offering plate … Seldom see that anymore … Usually around the time tobacco markets opened … Now, no tobacco markets…

Candidates for municipal elections have filed to be full-fledged politicians … Not putting them down … We need new folks, new ideas … File in July, vote in November…

Dixie Youth state playoffs continue … seems there is always something that causes stress … Like COVID-19 among the participants … Heartbreaking for players, coaches and parents … Same for some involved in the Olympics…

Nothing like a note from a friend you haven’t seen or heard from in years…

Regardless of age, life is a learning process … complete with tests…

Today should be pretty nice, weatherwise … Partly sunny, with a nigh near 89 and a 20% chance of rain. Tonight, mostly clear, with a low near 71. Tomorrow, sunny, with a high near 92.
