Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Have mentioned several times activities, events, etc. that have been changed due to the worldwide virus … some things never change … death, taxes and births … Three you can bet on…

Saw an interesting ‘bite’ on Facebook recently … a young female … maybe 2 or 3 years old, blind and learning to walk alone with the aid of a cane. A patient adult, probably a mom, assisting. How often we forget to give thanks for normal children…

Our federal government is facing challenging times. Support for unemployment, mainly caused by COVID-19, has expired, Congress is ‘wrestling’ with what to do next … and it’s made more difficult with many facing elections … Go deeper in debt as a nation to help many out of work, not of their own making or do nothing … We talk ‘junk’ about them too often, but they have difficult tasks … Another issue is making sure the support goes where it should go … And when dealing in billions and trillions … difficult to do that … And there are many, elected officials and just regular folks who will take advantage…

Still need rain … next best chance for this area is Wednesday and Thursday (60% chance), and a 50% chance on Friday … Forecast for high temps low to mid 90s most of the week … Heat index over a hundred several days…

One of the real treats of being a retired senior citizen, do not plan to be outside much, during this type weather … do feel sorry for those who have no choice and remember when we were busy ‘barning tobacco’, stacking peanuts, picking cotton and more, and had no choice … Be careful if you must be outside…

Today is church day, and regardless of whether you attend church services or not, local services are available in various forms, including Facebook … no excuses…

Thoughts from the past…

“Once we had Clinton, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope….now we have Bush, no Cash and no Hope…”

“Where there’s a will, there are five hundred relatives.”

“One thing about being wrong is the joy it brings to the others.”
