Today’s forecast is for a slight (20%) chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 95 … heat values as high as 102. Mostly clear tonight, low near 73. Thursday, sunny, with a high near 96, heat values as high as 106 … and temps continue to rise … High in the mid to upper 90s thru next Tuesday … Saturday’s high expected to be 98…
Changing topics, I can’t imagine how much money is being raised and spent on political campaigns … just continues to rise … I’m sorry, but I think there should be a hard cap … I contribute the same to all…
Overheard a group of ECU Alumni recently talking about plans for a college football game … ECU vs. Michigan, early in the upcoming season … Brought back memories…
ASU vs Michigan, 2008. Appalachian State defeated Michigan 34-32 in what is likely the all-time greatest upset in college football history. If not the greatest, one of the greatest. App State scored on a field goal with 26 seconds remaining and Michigan ran out of time attempting to get into field goal range. Former East Bladen running back Kevin Richardson picked up 88 yards in 24 carries for the winners … Michigan seems to always have a good team. Go Pirates…

Have had a few email issues recently … Kept attempting to ‘fix it’ myself … finally broke down and called my provider … Star TMC … Should have called a few weeks ago … but I didn’t … Took about 30 minutes … Employees guided me through the situation … very helpful, very nice … If you are a Star member, and have an issue, they will do the same for you…
I mentioned I purchased another vehicle recently … no mention of brand … Received a couple of mailing, stating I should visit the dealership soon for service … Turns out, the mailing was from someone other than the local dealer or manufacturer … Auto manufacturers sell lists to others who attempt to make a few bucks suggesting you need service … not unlike the service you should expect from the dealer … I suppose everyone knew that, but me…
Saw one of my former little leaguers recently … He is about ready to retire … from his chosen profession … Life is short … enjoy.
