Thoughts While Shaving for July 29

Throughout most any day, receive unwanted phone calls, often informing me that it’s time to renew the warranty on my vehicle … most likely a vehicle that I traded or sold several years ago … and when I turn on computer in the early a.m., have a message requesting approval of an order I never placed … Technology, can’t live with it our without it…

I am encouraged with the apparent progress of pharmaceutical companies attempting to develop medicine for the coronavirus that has paralyzed the nation, maybe the world … Despite the efforts of many, still weeks, months away from being available, and at what cost????

Congress and the president still struggling, attempting to ‘come up’ with another stimulus package to keep the economy as near normal as possible. For years, we have heard our leaders and common folks expressing concerns about the national debt … Guess the big question now is, how much more???? There is a lot of ‘hurt’ all around us…

Yesterday’s high temp was 96 degrees … Actually, the National Weather Service forecast is for highs in the 90s through Monday with chance of rain in the 30 to 40% range, daily …. High next Tuesday forecast for 89…

Ever wish you were in the ‘mask making’ business’ … Don’t do much going, primarily the grocery store and not sure who I am speaking to while there … most are covered up … as they should be…

“Memory is what tells a man his wedding anniversary was yesterday…”

“My job is secure. No one else wants it.”

“The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.”
