Stock market soaring, temperature is dropping and weeds are growing…

Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed to 26,287, still a ways to go to reach 29,500 range where it was before COVID-19, back in early March of this year, but headed in the right direction. In recent days our high temp was in the low to mid 90s, yesterday’s unofficial temp was 89 and today’s high expected to be in the 83 degree range … and I have a better ‘stand’ of weeds than grass.

Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10 a.m … 60% chance of rain with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch likely. 60% chance of rain tonight, increasing to an 80% chance Wednesday with rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Confusion at every level … even in our churches … and no place I know where feelings can be ‘hurt’ quicker than in the business of the church … I guess the good thing about it is, if you don’t like what’s going on in one church, one denomination, others welcome with wide open arms … and a new struggle begins … and add COVID-19 and even more confusing…

Remember cottage prayer meetings when mostly ‘older folks’ would come together in a community, many times at someone’s house, or a church and have prayer meetings … pray for everything … rain, for individuals, for the church, for those serving in the military. for the sick…

Sympathies to the family of Charlie Daniels, many ‘cousins’ who live in Bladen County.
