Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingCongratulations to all the youngsters, coaches, parents, supporters, everyone who have made this summer baseball season a huge success.  And, how about the champs?

I remember similar days many years ago, in fact re-live them often by ‘digging thru’ old score books and newspaper clippings.  Little league players on the teams I shared coaching responsibilities with, will soon be eligible for social security.

WECT TV featured an article about a clerk and customer assisting two people, sitting in their vehicle, unresponsive, at the gas pumps in Supply (Brunswick County).  The story was reported after a newsman and a photojournalist, from the TV station, stopped at the Marathon Minuteman Food Mart, owned by Campbell Oil Company of Elizabethtown.  The volunteers helped by using CPR training from sometime in their past.  Apparently, all ended well.

Tired of the presidential campaign?  Hold on, just four more months.

Law enforcement officials are coming under more scrutiny than ever.  They need lots of training to deal with the changing world we live in while still enforcing the law.

So what else is on your mind?  Hot weather?  Making ends meet?  Health issues?  Never a dull moment, regardless of your ‘station’ in life.

If all is well, give thanks.

No duty is more urgent that that of returning thanks.  Unknown
