Thoughts While Shaving for July 9

Latest stats on COVID-19…

Bladen County … confirmed cases 411 and 4 deaths.
North Carolina … 77,735 confirmed cases and deaths total 1,470 … an increase of 21 deaths…
United States … 3.11M confirmed and 134K deaths … an increase of 810…
Worldwide … 12M confirmed and 548K deaths … an increase of 4,147…

Had a gentlemen tell me recently the virus would be over shortly after the election … and I am surprised at the number who believe that … Say it is political … I have no idea, but dying is not about Republicans and Democrats … I don’t think … I am not taking a risk, well, very little risk. My problem is forgetting to use my mask, until I am in a business, or some other public setting … Takes a while to retrain some of us senior citizens … Think unaffiliated have a less chance of contacting the dreaded disease? … no such luck … Some wild ideas…

Can you imagine the conversation in a rural area … old country store…???? Very few ‘smart shops’ around anymore…

One more thing to discuss … How about a family … mom and dad and 2 or 3 school age children attending school on a rotating format? You know, 2 or 3 days in school and 2 or 3 days at home … and to complicate the issue … in the lower grades at school … It is possible … in some areas.

Another stat from some place … 17 North Carolina counties account for well over half of the sick folks … understandable, more folks in the larger counties…

The possibility of rain is still in our weather forecast … Today … a 40% chance of showers … Partly sunny, with a high near 87. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms … Same forecast for the next several days, except higher temps … in the low 90s and heat values tomorrow (Friday) in the 102 range.

At the end of a summer day … your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and your eyes sparkling.

All I need … The Stars, The Moon, The Sea, and your hand in mine … Mark Anthony

To Do list … Dream, Love, Feel free, Relax and Be Happy…
