Was up early this AM, lots of thoughts, was reviewing, scribbled them down and lost them due to a glitch, they just went away. Guess it was not meant to be, but OK. After all, I’m retired, can do it again.
My high school classmates are beginning to be old folks, our conversations are dominated by health issues, doctor appointments, grandchildren, etc.
I no longer discuss politics, the whole world is polarized, it seems and I do not care to add to the situation. Spent many years in the political arena as an elected official and later representing a non-partisan organization. Loved it.
Different today, many Republicans, Democrats and Independents think it is their way or no way. Heard an individual say recently about a candidate that he said was the best candidate, and would be elected, but he had an opportunity to vote for a candidate representing the party he was aligned with, even though he was not as good a candidate and had no chance. Party politics is so different now compared to a few years ago.
Prefer Sanford and Sons, Andy Griffith and Gomer Pyle over CNN and FOX.
Did enjoy interview with Hank Aaron last night, during the Braves game.
