Thoughts While Shaving for June 17

Thoughts While ShavingRemember vacations as a youngster?  For this set of Hesters, vacation came (if there was one) after all the crops were harvested and usually consisted of a two or three day trip to Ocean Drive (now North Myrtle Beach) in late September or early October when hotel rates were lowest or if other family members came with us, then all would rent a single house for a couple of days.  The weather was usually a little cool, but it was a memorable event.

Congratulations again to the seniors, high school and institutions of higher learning.  The jobs report for June 2016 was not good, less than 30,000 new jobs created in the US.  Hopefully the report proves to be inaccurate and July returns to levels of the recent past of 150,000 to 200,000 plus.  Jobs are needed, but more than ever skilled workers are in demand.  No skills, few jobs and low pay.  Skilled labor, better jobs and higher wages.

I am happy that the FBI has finally completed investigation of the Lennon Lacy case.  Some will agree, some disagree and for the family, nothing will replace a son and sibling.  Our thoughts and prayers continue for them.
