Local governments (towns and county) are entering the home-stretch related to adopting budgets for the 2021-22 fiscal year … Must be adopted by June 30 and effective July 1. ‘Crunch time’.

How ’bout the East Bladen Eagles baseball team? In fact, how ’bout all the high school athletes bouncing back after the pandemic?

Back to the Eagles baseball team, next game in the state playoffs is 7 p.m. today at North Lenior, near Kinston. Eagles played a great game Thursday. Also a huge ‘shout out’ to the East and West Bladen Girl’s Tennis teams, both playing in the Regionals near Chapel Hill, today…

Back to the baseball team, coach Grant Pait’s team has been playing some good ball … Last game Thursday Eagles won 13-3, game called due to 10 run rule. Every starter had a hit, Evan Pait went 4-for-4 and had 3 RBIs. Lefredrick Wooten and Coleman Tatum combined on a 5-hitter … Go Eagles…
