Spread the love

Our chance for more rain is 60% this evening. Hopeful. Someone sent an article about Ohio farms underwater. … Seems to be too much or too little.

Maybe we need to spend more time talking to our maker and less calling each other bad names.

Recently saw census info that indicated population of Bladen County decreased by 5.7% from 2010 to 2017, and another 0.8% since 2017. 2018 population was 33,190. Columbus and Robeson dropped as well while Pender and Brunswick recorded increases … in fact Brunswick was the fastest growing county in the state … both with ocean front property that attracts retirees.

Bladen County commissioners have been facing a substantial drop in sales tax revenues as they worked on the budget for the next fiscal year.

Retail sales in Bladen County have decreased, substantially following a couple of years of bad weather that wiped out some of our businesses.

Reminded of the song, sure could use a little good news today…

Still a great place to live, work and play. I am happy to call Bladen County my home.

Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.

You learn more from failure than from success.

If you are working on something that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed.
