An interesting day yesterday, weather wise. Windy, sunny, cloudy, stormy, hot, rainfall totaled over an inch at the Curtis Brown airport in Elizabethown. Wind gust topped 40 mpg near 6 p.m. and in the low 30 mpg range shortly after 10 p.m. last evening.
There were some power outages reported, hopefully all have been restored.
Dixie Youth playoff action continued over the weekend. Busy time for players, coaches, parents and friends.
Former Whiteville Wolfpacker Mackenzie Gore is back in the rotation for the Fort Wayne Tincaps baseball team. Still working on getting back to his normal game after missing most of the first half of the season with blisters on his pitching hand.
