Thoughts While Shaving For June 26

Spread the love

Robert Hester, Founder of BladenOnline.comI never ceased to be amazed what volunteers can do when working together…

Saturday night, the annual fundraiser for the East Bladen athletic department was held … It was another huge success. About 250 tickets were sold, volunteers worked several hours and supporters attended the All-Sports Banquet at the school…

Former coaches, players, moms and dads of current and former students … More takeout meals, but many hung around ’til the end. Proceeds will be used to support the efforts of the coaches, athletes and their helpers … I am careful to not begin naming names … Many workers made it happen … many long-time supporters and some first-timers…

My record continues … I enjoyed the food, and fellowship … but never won a dime

I really do enjoy … get to see folks involved now and some who have aged out … Thanks to all for your support … I break my own rule … long visit with Ken Armstrong who takes more pics of students and coaches than anyone I know…

Next weekend is July 4th … expecting a huge crowd at White Lake and in Elizabethtown … Fireworks on display Monday, dark thirty p.m. … at the lake.

Thanks for comments on “Thoughts” … still having a few issues that cause delays occasionally, not local, in outer space or some such place…

It’s Sunday, church day…

Sunny today, high near 93. Mostly clear tonight, low around 67. More sunshine Monday, high near 90. Chance of rain, Monday night, Tuesday, Tuesday night and Wednesday … Oh, I hope it rains…
