Ever get the feeling our world is falling apart?
Yesterday, another bombing, this one in Istanbul, Turkey. First reports were 20 killed and 40 injured. Early this morning (Wednesday), those numbers had risen to over 40 killed, and 150 or more injured.
Then I checked some of the social sites, Facebook and others, and see folks spouting off hate comments about this group or individual or cause. These are neighbors, family, friends who are caught up in this effort or the other, mostly politically related. WE CAN DIFFER AND NOT HATE. What happened to LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. This is America, the land of the free and home of the brave. Debate, disagree, respect, and vote your conscience.
Our enemies must love to see us ‘damning’ each other. Divide and conquer.

A reminder of the ‘Booze It and Lose It’ Operation Firecracker campaign, now underway, is aimed at getting drunk drivers off the road. In 2015, there were 418 alcohol related deaths in North Carolina, and there have been about 140 so far this year. Expect to see ‘checks’ all across the state.
Boating and drinking is a no-no as well.
