Spread the love

Kinda all over the board today …

Love one-liners. … When in doubt – abstain.

We hear about drug dealers, maybe not the names until an arrest, but we know folks all around us accused of using or dealing in drugs …

But, there is much good going on as well. … Churches and individuals building ramps for those not as mobile as we are, many volunteers, donating their time.

Many of my friends are being diagnosed with various ailments, some dealing with the ‘c’ disease. Heard about another yesterday.

Remember as a youngster, our houses were never locked … did not have a lock, only a wooden latch. Crime was not the ‘big issue’ it is today.

Heard about a minister in a nearby county charged with the death of two in a wreck, and he is accused of being under the influence of alcohol.

Impressed with the work of those incarcerated, out picking up debris on our roadways and thankful for those in positions of authority that are allowing and promoting it.

For many years I was of the opinion that term limits for politicians was a bad idea. After watching what is going on, mostly at the state and national level, may need a re-do. A few powerful officeholders dominate, been this way for years, but worse now (my opinion) … both political parties. My civics teacher … years ago taught us that our national government consisted of three equal departments. … Executive (President administers with thousands of workers), Legislative (Senate and House of Representatives) and the Judicial (Supreme Court and lower courts). … Based on today’s action, something appears to be out-of-whack. Appears the Legislative department has abdicated (surrendered or given up) their responsibilities to the Executive branch.
