Today is March 1 … enjoy.

It was about this time a year ago that we were beginning to debate the COVID-19 virus issue … Turned into a nightmare … still is … beginning to think about a light at the end of the tunnel … Hopeful…

Average high for March, in Bladen County, is 71, average low 42 degrees … Beautiful day yesterday, despite the wind…

Forecast for today … Showers likely, mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 9 to 18 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of rain is 60%. Tonight, a slight chance of showers before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. North wind with gusts as high as 16 mph … chance of rain is 20%.

Tomorrow, partly sunny, with a high near 54 and windy … Forecast for the balance of the week is for highs in the mid 50s to around 60 degrees with lows mostly in the mid 30s to low 40s … Lots of sunshine beginning Thursday…

County Commissioners meet this evening at the courthouse … 6:30 p.m.

I am not a huge fan of virtual meetings, but a must during the pandemic for many groups…
