Weather is one of the big news stories today … A big, bad storm is heading our way, should arrive mid to late afternoon…

Latest info as of 5 a.m. … A chance of rain before 10 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., followed by more showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. High near 80. South wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight, showers and thunderstorms likely mainly before 6 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind 9 to 14 mph. 60% chance of rain. Friday, a slight chance of showers after 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. West wind 10 to 16 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gusts as high as 23 mph and a 30% chance of precipitation.

Saturday and Sunday, mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Probably need to call ahead before travel today and tonight, some events could be postponed or cancelled depending on the weather … March winds can be tough to deal with…
