A great deal of interest on Election Day in the USA. Voters in 13 or 14 states will be voting tomorrow, March 3. Voting or caucuses have already occurred in 4, 5 maybe 6 states. The Democratic field is beginning to shrink, the Republican field is set so far as the candidate for president…

About 2,775 voters have already cast their ballot in Bladen County, not counting absentees. … Over 20,000 residents are registered to vote in the primary election. The field of local candidates will shrink and winners of Tuesday’s election advance to the November general election where eventual winners will be determined and seated. My guess is 50% of those eligible to vote in Bladen County will care enough to cast a ballot. Hope I am proven wrong…

Seems the Republican/Democrat divide is about as wide as I have ever witnessed. Question is, which party can provide the type leadership that makes us a better, stronger nation and prepares us for years to come. Frankly, bothers me when both bodies of congress and the president are of the same political persuasion. … Party politics are so strong, and have been for many years, that the rubber stamp rules … and that is not good … just my thoughts … no doubt many disagree … but that’s OK. … We can agree to disagree…

Most of the newly elected at the local level are sworn in and seated in early December. Different at the state and national level … some as late as January…

Voters will vote in their own precinct, 17 locations in the county. For details, Google, call or visit the Bladen County Board of Elections located at 301 Cypress Street, behind the Elizabethtown Post Office. Telephone number is 910-862-4951. If you see or know of illegal activities, report that as well … and pray authorities deal with it in a more strict manner than those who committed crimes in previous elections.
