William McGirt, former Fairmont Golden Tornado, recorded a 2-over par 72 Saturday in the the PGA’s Honda Classic being played in Florida. After 3 rounds he is tied for 41st place with several others. He is attempting to come back after being out of action for 2 or 3 years due to a couple of hip surgeries…
Another PGA participant with Bladen County ties is competing in the tournament as well … Mathew Nesmith is plus 1 and tied for 48th place. He is married to the granddaughter of the late Eldon Pait and his bride, Elizabeth Pait, of Bladenboro.
