High School sports schedule on our sports page … John Clark still on the job, as he has been for past ‘humpteen’ years … High School football play scheduled … but the COVID-19 issue appears to be playing havoc, causing changes almost daily … No one does it better than John C. He also does a good job of keeping up with locals now playing at the next level…

Dixie Youth Baseball preparation underway in Elizabethtown … check status in other locations … Takes dedicated adults to put it all together … Youngsters are eager…

Only 3 … changed to 5 in 1954 and to 9 in the 1980s…

Enjoy seeing turkeys in fields throughout the county, same true for deer…

Congress busy fighting over a stimulus package, parties reversed … Over the past couple of years, the efforts were lead by Republicans and Democrats were difficult to deal with … Now Democrats attempting to put a package together and Republicans are uncooperative … Guess that’s the way our system works…

Some times I wonder…

Today should be one of the best days of the year, weatherwise. Lots of sunshine, high near 70 and a little breezy, gusts as high as 16 mph. No rain in the forecast for the next week or so…

Should be lots of farm equipment on the roadways shortly … from one field to another…

Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, March 14 and the first day of spring is Saturday, March 20. FYI…
