Thoughts While Shaving

Did you watch the free-for-all last night, the Republican presidential debate?  I watched for a while, finally decided I had enjoyed all I could stand.  I flipped to a rerun of ‘The Jeffersons’.

My mom and my Sunday School teacher, as a pre-school student, stressed doing unto others as you would have them do to you and do not speak while others are….Guess that does not apply in the 2016 presidential debate…Great lesson for our interested youngsters????

Kinda feel sorry for Gov. Kasich.  Experience and being respectful does not score points in today’s political environmental.

Early Voting is underway.  Visit the Bladen County Elections website for details or call, 910-862-6951.  Over the past few years, many voters have cast their ballots early. The Primary Election will be held at all the usual Bladen County voting sites on March 15.

It is a little difficult for me to be in the election mode, after voting in May my entire life.  But, I will vote and hope all do.

A reminder, One of the best, maybe the best ever East Bladen High School ladies basketball team plays for the 2A Eastern Regional Finals at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville.  Their opponent will be North Pitt who needed a triple overtime to beat TW Andrews 60-54 to advance.  The Saturday game begins at 4 p.m….East Bladen (31-0) vs North Pitt (28-1).

Daylight Savings time begins on March 13; St. Patrick’s Day is Thursday, March 17 and Easter is March 27.  For senior citizens, most of the other days are reserved for doctor appointments.

Snappy comebacks and one liners suitable for the current political environment:

I like you.  You remind me of when I was young and stupid.

How about never?  Is never good for you?

On the keyboard of life, always keep one finger on the escape key.
