Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

I spent the night tossin’ and turnin’ preparing for a high school football game … Had trouble falling asleep … first too hot, then too cold … on the bed, on the couch and back to bed … Ongoing all night long … Planes flying overhead for a while … noisy … Haven’t broadcast a football game in several years … I do miss it, miss my friends who were a part of the team for years … but why last night? Don’t know, and do not understand, but all is well … now.

A reminder today is Russell Priest Day, so designated by Elizabethtown City Council … Festivities will take place between the JV and Varsity baseball games this evening at East Bladen High School … Everyone is invited … Russell was a long time teacher/coach and a politician, serving for years as an Elizabethtown City Councilman and later as a Bladen County Commissioner … before his untimely death…

Nice tribute to him on BladenOnline yesterday by Sonny Jones…

Help me understand … someone in a foreign land has taken over a pipeline that goes from north to south in the USA providing much of the fuel we use, stopping the flow of fuel to much of eastern US. More than my tiny brain can comprehend … The ‘bad group’ is or could be thousands of miles away … They are identified by name only and all the smart tech folks can not identify and the pipeline owners and users are being held hostage. Fuel not likely to run until someone pays off someone and it can happen again … And our fuel prices are likely to skyrocket … Sounds like a terrible situation … Think we need Dick Tracy, remember the comic character?

Cloudy, with a high near 73 today … Tonight, a 70% chance of rain … Mostly cloudy with a low around 52 … and windy.

“I wish I could record what people say so I could replay it for them when they deny it.”

“Something I learned about people … If they do it once, they’ll do it again.”

“I’m so glad you TOLD me what a good Christian you are – judging by your actions, I NEVER would’ve known!”
