A new court order puts a temporary hold on Governor Roy Cooper’s restrictions related to indoor religious services. That order (ruling) came yesterday, not sure how it will play out today. … As I understand, indoor religious services are now legal. Judge James C. Dever III reminded religious leaders they should adhere to social distancing guidelines. A court hearing is set for May 29. A spokesperson for Governor Cooper said they will not appeal…

Tough news over the past few hours for employees of Brooks Brothers who have worked for years at their plant in Garland. The company will be closing permanently on July 20th, leaving nearly 150 local residents without a job. The Garland plant makes shirts. Maybe a sign of things to come for more companies…
