Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingI enjoy Facebook, especially pictures from years gone by.

BladenOnline is the best source of ‘news you can use’.  Numbers continue strong.  Beautiful weather is the toughest competition for readers…..a reminder, The Best Is Yet To Come.

Charlotte, Erin, John, Ray, Norgie, Joy, all the contributors provide a very valuable service to the area.  THANKS.

Love to travel the rural roads of Bladen.  A Sunday afternoon drive in any direction brings back memories and thoughts of friends along the way.

The recent Bladen We Care fund-raisers appear to have been a huge success.  Final numbers are not available, but early indications point to a successful Gala and Golf Tournament.  Winners are those with medical issues who fall through the “cracks” in our provider care system.

Check our Events section for many activities this time of year, and for the organizers and supporters, we are happy to add your event to our line up.  Email info to editor@bladenonline.com or bladenonline.com@gmail.com.

Bladen County Commissioners and Elizabethtown City Council meet today.  Commissioners meet at 6:30 p.m., and City Council will meet at 12 noon and 7 p.m.  All regular meetings are open to the public.

We have been featuring 1977 youth sports teams, primarily baseball, for several weeks, thanks to the Southeastern Times.  Today we feature the Clarkton Tee Ball team.  Members included Laura Starnes, Tina Russ, David Clark, Jennifer Marlowe, Bryan Young, Chuck Heustess, Shain Ray, Laura Singletary, Andy Parnell, Kelly Lyda, Jan Davis, Harold Ingram, Davey Donaldson, Chris Meggs, John Clark, Chistie Shaw and Jamie Brown.  Buddy Burney was the coach.

Hard work has a future payoff.  Laziness pays off now.
