Thinking back over the years … 30 to 40 years … Memorial Day weekend, we have spent most, if not all, at White Lake. … Parade, cookout with friends and family. … For our friends, time to ‘catch-up’ since last we met, most haven’t seen since Labor Day the previous year, or shortly after.
Like everything else, this year is different … no parade, no cookout, none of our friends in the park have arrived, not sure they will … all from out of town. And, for family and friends, limited contact … all attempting to follow the rules associated with COVID-19. … Just different…
A few things remain the same … large numbers of blueberry pickers at a few of the retail outlets, early in the morning and late evening. … They travel in large, mostly old school buses … to and from the blueberry fields … and provide a great service for blueberry farmers, and for all who enjoy the sweet fruit…
Surprised there was not more damage following the storm late Friday. … Some, but nothing like I expected…
Beautiful day yesterday, and hopefully more of the same throughout the weekend…
So, how ’bout your Memorial Day weekend? … More of the same, or different?…
I still need a haircut … but know the barbers and beauticians must be extremely busy…
Remember our fallin’ heroes. … To all who have put their lives on the line in defense of our great country … THANK YOU…
All gave some … some gave all…
Hope you have a safe and blessed Memorial Day weekend.
