Expect more rain over the next couple of days, a flood watch continues…

Rainfall totals as of 6 a.m. Thursday were a little less than 2 inches at the Curt Brown NWS airport site and at the Hester’s unofficial site.

Forecast thru Saturday remains about the same. Showers and thunderstorms, off and on, mostly in the 50% to 80% range. Wind in the 5 to 9 mph range with gusts today (Thursday) as high as 17 mph. Plan accordingly.

NASCAR race in Charlotte last night was postponed, rescheduled 7 p.m. today … The Bristol, Va., race scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until Monday…

Stock market doing well, 401k’s still a little short compared to early March, before the fall … but much better than mid March…

Can you believe … 100,000 dead across the US in about 6 weeks due to the virus that is sweeping the nation, actually the world?? Whatever your thoughts about how and where, it is a deadly disease and people are dying … We all have to make decisions based on whatever our thoughts may be … but for me and our household, we will continue our cautious ways for some time…

Thinking back, the Bladenboro Bulldog class of ’56 graduated 64 years ago this day … May 28th, if my memory has not let me down … again…
