Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love
Thoughts While ShavingHappy Mothers Day.
Enjoy mom, if she is still living and cherish the memories if she is deceased.
Relay for Life 2016 completed another successful effort yesterday.  So much work for such a good cause.  Proceeds benefit efforts to learn more about how to stop or slow cancer.  We all know friends and family dealing with the disease.  Congratulations and thanks to the workers and supporters.
Competition for time was a big deal yesterday.  So much going on and all appeared to be successful.
Dixie Youth play is underway throughout the county.  Eager youngsters, coaches and supporters.  In Elizabethtown, over 250 youngsters involved, over 20 teams with coaches.  A huge undertaking.
Congratulations to college seniors.  Degrees are being awarded.  For many, time to enter the workforce, for others, more college in their chosen field.
Then there are those among us with no ambition, no effort to better themselves, do degree, just ‘hang-out’ and look for trouble.  Wish there was a cure for lack of ambition.
There are jobs available, but companies need a trained workforce.  Oh yes, Bladen Community College has training for career opportunities.
Our featured youngsters from 1977 is the Bladenboro T-Ball team.  Members included: Stephen Horton, Brant Allen, Travis Walters, H.J. White, III, Jeffrey Armstrong, Woody Avant, Cedric Brooks, Betty Ann White, Jerry Ransom, Tim Baldwin, Chris Turner, Barry Brisson, Mark Allen, Michelle Ransom, Ron Russ, Julian Walker, Jr., Shane Todd, Donnie Bennett, Pam Freeman, Jeff Williams, Charles Williams, Chris Edwards and Greg Deaver.  Coaches included Ken Cain, Richard Bennett, Timothy Dove and Ronnie Russ.
Happy Mother’s Day: Wishing you time, just to dream, just to relax, just to enjoy.
Youth fades, love drops, the leaves of friendship fall.  A mother’s secret love outlives them all.
You were my first friend and you have remained my best friend, forever.  Happy Mothers Day
