Thoughts While ShavingToday, we salute all veterans.  Thank You.

Our new President-elect promised during the election process, if elected, he would “drain the swamp.”  I like that expression, just hope he does not ‘fill it’ with alligators.

Governors’ race still undecided.  About a 5,000 vote lead for Roy Cooper with more votes to be counted.  A little surprised that all votes were not counted by the end of the day or early morning following the General Election.  Don’t think I would ‘pack my bags’ and ‘give up the keys to the mansion’ until I was sure I had lost.  It will be a tough loss for either.

I think back about the most recent election process.  So many lies, pure lies, especially at the national level.  Who can we trust?  I am told by some that all the lies were just political rhetoric. Shameful.  My granddad would not understand, and neither do I.

With that said, congratulations to all the winners, thanks to all candidates (winners and losers for giving us options).  Now, let’s unite behind the winners and ‘move forward.’

A reminder of the Annual Star Telephone Meeting, Saturday beginning at 10 AM at Bladen Community College.  All members are encouraged to attend.

If you enjoy cooler weather, Saturday may be your kind of day.  High temps in the mid to upper 50s with lows Sunday morning expected to be near freezing.
