If you are a sports fan, yesterday was a pretty good day … Lots of NFL action and Dustin Johnson played near perfect golf to capture the delayed 2020 Masters Golf Tournament.
A closer look at the Masters … Johnson completed play at -20, a record and picked up a ‘kewl’ $2M and a green jacket. Not bad for a week’s work … It was his first Masters win. Cameron Smith, an Aussie, and Im Sung-jae, a South Korean, won about a million each. They tied for second, 5 strokes back. Tiger Woods, last year’s champ, assisted Johnson in dressing up in green, a Master’s tradition
Late night NFL action … the Patriots (4-5) defeated the Baltimore Ravens (6-3) 23-17. Earlier, the Carolina Panthers were defeated by Tampa Bay Bucs, 46-23. Tom Brady was 28/39 passing, for 341 yards…

Between COVID-19 and the allegations about a ‘rigged’ election is about as much as most can deal with … My concern, both could be doing damage to our great nation … my thoughts…

So, how was your Sunday? At the church I have attended for over 50 years, a new pastor was installed yesterday. Pastor Jonathan Hayes, his bride Kristie and their family were officially welcomed as new leaders at Wesley’s Chapel Church, Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown, NC.
Now, looking forward to returning to a normal service, but like others we continue to meet in our multi-purpose facility … where we can meet COVID-19 rules and regulations and feel a little safer … all while our sanctuary is undergoing a facelift…
