Thursday … Sunny with a high near 60 and more wind … gusts as high as 22 mph…
Friday thru Monday … Sunny with high temps ranging from mid 50s to 70 degrees … Warm temps latter part of forecast…
I have an old habit of reading NC news, statewide … Traveled all 100 counties for nearly 30 years … Can kinda feel a part of the area, based on previous experiences and some good folks I worked with … Great Job…
Newly elected Governor Josh Stein is forming a transition team … included are a couple of folks of a different political persuasion … I know of both, well deserved … my humble opinion … In fact, would be nice to have more “reaching across” the political aisle … Agree when possible … room for disagreement…
The Lumberton newspaper had a nice article about a young NC State Wolfpack running back who teams up with others in Fairmont to have a turkey dinner giveaway for folks in their home town … We need more … NC State running back is Jordan Waters … his former high school coach is also involved … Coach Marcus Thompson … nice gesture…
An article from one of the NC mountain areas … a lot of hurt … 273 roads still closed and over 170 in emergency shelters … in one region … That number no doubt can decrease or increase depending on the situation…
