Thoughts While Shaving for November 26

Happy Thanksgiving!

Despite all that we deal with on a daily basis, I am thankful … for a good family, for good friends, far too many blessings to begin to name…

I’m thankful for the place I call home, for good health, for my church family, and as I think back to my work families … I am a blessed individual … For those I have come in contact with over the years, some I see on a daily basis, some I seldom see…

I woke early this AM thinking about the old hymn … Count your many blessing, name them one by one … Count your many blessings see what God has done…

Is our world perfect? Nope…

Wish it was good for everyone … remember the less fortunate … extend a helping hand…

So, what are your plans for today? We will spend time with immediate family and with some of our extended family members later … safely … Complete with mask, observing distancing..etc.

Don’t have to travel far to know others are not as fortunate … Recent headlines, man charged with killing his dad … mother charged with killing a child…

Life is all about choices … sometimes we make good ones, sometimes not so good…

Enjoy the day…

“Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other.” Randy Pausch

“What we’re really talking about is a wonderful day set aside on the fourth Thursday in November when no one diets. I mean, why else would they call it Thanksgiving?” Erma Bombeck

“If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.” Frank A. Clark
