Be aware of increased traffic, regardless of direction … and even more so if your are crossing the Cape Fear River at Elizabethtown … one lane is closed, or has been closed for repairs, causing delays.
One sibling is on the road today, heading home from Iowa … hopefully arriving in Bladen later today or Thanksgiving Day. Then she departs on Friday, headed to the western part of Virginia, joining another sibling for a drive to Philadelphia, catching a flight to Japan for a visit with our nephew, who serves in the military … prayers for safe travel.
Keep hearing rumors about individuals who are considering filing for local political offices. My standard answer when asked … If you think you have something to offer … pay your filing fees, get your name on the ballot and go for it. There is no picture like that the public takes … voters decide. No doubt, the majority of incumbents will also be considering another term.
