The weather did not stop the masses from attending Bladenboro’s Beast Fest … Mid-afternoon Saturday, more vehicles than I think I have ever seen in downtown Bladenboro at ‘one’ time … A hearty salute to all who made it a huge success.
Congratulations are in order to Coach Robby Priest and the Elizabethtown football team .. . The Eagles will travel to Hertford County to play in the 2A playoffs Friday evening … West Bladen’s season is over … Maybe next year.
NFL action today … Panthers at Atlanta Falcons, 1 p.m. … Tennessee Titans at Texans for 4 p.m. game.
Watched a little of the Auburn-Arkansas game … West Bladen’s Brandon Council was on the offensive line, played most of the game … Auburn lost 41-27 but thought Council played a good game … Big young man … #71 is 6-4, 328 pounds, easy to spot … He has been plagued with injuries over the years … but putting it all together this year.
