Robert Hester, Founder of BladenOnline.comHeadlines from yesterday … Aaron Judge hits home run #62 in Texas Tuesday, off Rangers’ Jesus Tinoco … passing longtime AL record holder Roger Maris. Judge has been under a great deal of pressure for several weeks … batting near .200. But he finally broke the longtime record … Congratulations are in order. Can you imagine what the value of that ball is? The ball traveled 319 feet into the glove of a lucky fan, now a highly sought after collection item.

A sad note from yesterday … Loretta Lynn, one of America’s long time, favorite country music song writers-entertainers, died at the age of 90. She wrote and recorded many hits about her early days in West Virginia. The 5-feet-1 inch musician’s music will not soon be forgotten.

Monday night football results … 49ers 24 – Rams 9. Both team’s record is 2-2-0.

Sunny today, with a high near 74. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 52. Sunny, tomorrow with a high near 80. Same type forecast for the next week or so … with highs generally in the low to mid 70s.

Political season can’t end soon enough for me … local, state and national…

Some commercials with lasting effects…

“Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.”

“Capital One: What’s in your wallet?”

“Got milk?”
