Yesterday’s high temp was 87 degrees … overnight low expected to be in the upper 60s

Tuesday’s weather forecast … A slight chance of showers after 3 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 83. Mostly cloudy tonight with a low around 65. Wednesday, mostly sunny with a high near 82.

Next few days … Nice … lots of sunshine … High temps near 80 degrees … Lows in the upper 50s to low 60s … thru Monday.

We are into early October … Hobgoblins, cooler temps, some trees just beginning to show a little yellow, gold leaves…

When I think of inflation, it seems the price of everything rises before salaries…

Remember, long, long ago … Stacking peanuts, picking cotton, breaking corn … grading tobacco … leaf by leaf … Lots of memories … Cooler weather, long sleeves…

When I make boo boos … I make them for the world to see. The funeral for our long time friend … Crystal Simmons is today … Not yesterday … 11 a.m. at Wesley’s Chapel Church, Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown…

Many folks are involved in assisting our friends in the NC mountains … A flood has devastated the area … All across the state, folks are sending supplies … Good drinking water is a plus … Several organizations are gathering items and sending or delivering them … Bladen Baptist is just one … They are mostly transporting water to the area. Bladen Baptist office is located near the hospital. Check Facebook for others providing services to the area. From media accounts, it will be ongoing for a while.
