Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingWill be happy when the elections are over.  So many good people, professing Christians saying ‘bad’ things about this candidates or the other, and their supporters.  What happened to love thy neighbor as they self?  If you are looking for bad, there is plenty.  If you are looking for good, keep looking, must be there, somewhere.

Major league baseball playoffs: Dodgers over Nationals 4-3.  Dodgers vs Cubs in National League playoffs.  In the American League, Blue Jays vs Indians.

I still remember the great series in the 50s and 60s between the Yankees and Dodgers.  Recently saw an old interview with Mickey Mantle, still think he was one of the all time greats to play the game.

Demond Wilson, “Big Dummy” on Sanford & Son is celebrating his 70th birthday today.  Still one of my favorites.  Watch it Monday thru Friday, after The Andy Griffith Show.  Sorry, can’t tell you the channels, but do know Sanford & Son is on Star Vision (269).  Someone else is in charge of the remote.

Spent some time late yesterday assisting #2 son attempting to ‘navigate’ a Food Lion truck from Kenansville back to the warehouse in Dunn.  Roads are in a mess, but NCDOT folks are working hard to put all the pieces together.

The four most beautiful words in our common language: I told you so.  Gore Vidal

Many pro athletes are bilingual.  They speak English and profanity.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings?  It’s hardly ever for them
