Over a million votes had been cast in the Tar Heel state, as of early Friday afternoon, according to the NC State Board of Elections … or about 14% of the eligible voters in the state … One Stop voting will be held today in Bladen County from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

A reminder of One Stop voting sites…

So tired of political ads on TV, and slicks through the mail … Know I have mentioned this before, but … if the US Postal Service is anticipating reducing services anytime … how about charging the same price everytime a piece of mail is mailed … Most just pay bulk billing rates, saw one recently the cost of mailing was 12 1/2 cents … Let users bear the cost of the service … Especially ‘crap’ mailings, ex. political mailings … Never happen!

There are approximately 7.3 million registered voters in North Carolina and over 22,600 of those reside in Bladen County…

Looking forward to November 4th … Election will be over, political ads over and most likely we will still not know the winner of the election…

The USA is the greatest nation in the world, but sometimes we get out of whack … I am convinced all will be OK.

Sunny and cool today … high temp near 65 and windy. Tonight’s low in the mid 40s. Sunday, sunny with a high near 73.

“The end of the summer is not the end of the world. Here’s to October.” A.A. Milne
