Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Hope your weekend was good … We, my bride and I along with other family members, were pleasantly surprised when we were informed we were going to be great-grandparents, for us the first time. Our great-granddaughter, expected in late March … Can’t wait … Brooks and Katie Hester are the proud parents-to-be. We share with Glenn and Betty Jo Cain of Bladenboro…

A bit of sad news for the Cains and their family, Betty Jo’s brother, and long time businessman, golfer and man of many good deeds, Billy Ray Fisher, was discovered late Saturday dead. Apparently died watching the Tar Heels win a football game … Condolences to the Fisher family…

Lots of sports yesterday … a brief rundown … Sergio Garcia captured the Sanderson Farms PGA event with a win … a spectacular shot on the last hole to push Peter Malnati to 2nd place … worth $719,400. NC native J.T Poston finished 3rd, worth $455,000 … Garcia picked up a ‘cool’ $1,280,000 … pushed his career winnings to nealy $52 million.

Denny Hamlin survived numerous wrecks and won the NASCAR race at Talladega. Eric Jones finished 2nd.

Numerous NFL games yesterday, more tonight … Late game results, Philadelphia Eagles 25 – San Francisco 49ers 20.

Bladen County Commissioners meet today, at 6:30 p.m.

Great weather forecast today … Sunny, with a high near 77 … tonight mostly clear with a low around 52.

Thank goodness for indoor plumbing … Remember??????

“Anyone who thinks fallen leaves are dead has never watched them dancing on a windy day.”

“Autumn, the year’s last, loveliest smile.” William Cullen Bryant

“Hoodies, hot cocoa, boots, jeans, cuddling, crisp air, flushed cheeks. I live for Autumn.”
