Another nice fall day yesterday … a little cooler and a brisk breeze, but nice … Yesterday’s high temp was 77 degrees … The cooler temp and cool breeze made for a very nice day…
Love to see the leaves floating down … relaxing…
Clear skies last night, temps in the low 50s … Mostly cloudy today with a high near 77 … and a gentle northeast breeze in the afternoon … Mostly cloudy tonight, low around 55 … Thursday, mostly sunny with a high near 73 … Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph with gusts as high as 18 mph … Love fall of the year…
And nothing better than a fish plate for lunch or evening meal … Shriners Fish Fry today in the Food Lion parking lot … Lunch for sure … and maybe evening meal … Plates $10 each … Eat on the site or wherever you so desire…
A reminder of many events in the area … On our Events page … Seldom a day goes by without one or more events in the area … Highly recommend you check the page … daily…
Need to remember our friends out west … attempting to put the pieces back together, if possible, following the storm that ravaged the western North Carolina area … A donation to Red Cross or to someone you may know in the area would help … Some sad stories…
And, another storm is just hours away in the Florida area … Maybe the strongest storm ever, in a long time for sure … Many are seeking shelter elsewhere, some have few or no options … Can’t imagine…
We have had our share over the years … Never get comfortable with a wind storm … a tornado … or a hurricane.
“When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” Haruki Murakami
“Then the storm broke, and the dragons danced.” George R.R. Martin, Fire & Blood
“I love to feel the temperature drop and the wind increase just before a thunderstorm. The climb in bed with the thunder.” Amanda Masher
