Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

I am a ‘dream machine’ … had another ‘weird dream’ last night … I was in this area (Bladen County), suppose to be some other place … tossed and tumbled, ’bout half awake, worn out … Woke up, got up, and realized it was, just a dream … somewhat relieved but frustrated and tired attempting to make some type deadline for someone else … Woke up, out of bed before I realized it was just a dream … I was happy, unhappy, frustrated … tired … ill, like why all this … Still feel that way … Ever have those type moments?

Oh well, happy the dreams were not true, but frustrated … lost sleep … Anyone that knows me knows if I have a deadline, I will be on time … hopefully pleasant and prepared to get on with the project … and like for others to be the same … Sorry … so real … Still tired…

Say a prayer for the folks who were in the path of the storm in Louisiana … they have a mess … many homes destroyed, food in short supply and restoring power and returning to a normal routine … days, maybe weeks away…

Our weather improving, after today … 40% chance of precipitation, windy, gusts as high as 23 degrees, high temp near 90 … ’bout the same type weather tonight … But … Thursday’s forecast is better … mostly sunny with a high near 83 … mostly clear Thursday night, low near 63…

Hopefully we will see more broadband in Bladen over the coming months and years … As I have stated before … expensive, but necessary … Star TMC continues to work on the issue … Need about $70 million, maybe closer to $80 million … State and national leaders understand that high speed internet is necessary in today’s world … Not free, in fact fairly expensive … Bladen is a big county, landwise, sparsely populated in many areas … but it’s doable … takes time … and $s. I like to think Star has secured over half of what is needed for their service area … mainly Sampson and Bladen counties and small areas in Duplin, Pender, Columbus and Cumberland … We are talking years, not months…
