Interesting match-up in NFL opener last night. Super Bowl winner Tampa Bay eeked out a 31-29 win in the season opener over the Dallas Cowboys, despite a record setting performance by Cowboy QB Dak Prescott. Prescott completed 42 passed in 59 attempts for 403 yards … 3 TDs and one interception. Tom Brady’s team won … again.
High school football tonight … West Bladen (0-1) travels to East Columbus (1-0) for a 7 p.m. game. East Bladen (1-2) at Laney (2-0) … game time 6:30 p.m.
I watched some of the Bucs-Cowboys game last night … Thought back to the mid 50s … we had just purchased our first TV (used), nearly used up, but better than nothing … Watching channel 6 and we had to go outside and adjust the antenna to clear up the snow on the screen … Last night, I watched on big screen TV and my bride in the next room watched another big screen TV … and no one had to go outside and turn an antenna … I am among men most richly blessed … and Santa brought both…
Anyone else totally frustrated by constant calls related to medicaid, auto warranty and other such surveys … most recorded message?
For the record … I do not purchase anything because of an unwanted phone call, I do not respond to surveys of any kind, I do not contribute to political candidates or answer questions related to my political affiliation (I am unaffiliated), and most of the time when I see a strange number, I make sure phone rings 3 or 4 times before I answer … hopefully they have hung-up by then…
I wear face mask often … If you speak and I don’t respond as I should … most of the time, have no idea who I am speaking to/with … so please don’t assume I know you … Masks do a great job, but hope you tell me who you are, and I will do the same … Lady spoke last night at area restaurant … no idea who … sorry … Think I figured out who it was ’bout the time I arrived at home.
