Yesterday’s high temp was 83 degrees, a beautiful day … Overnight low in the upper 50s.
Mostly sunny today with a high around 83. Mostly cloudy tonight … low in mid 60s. Thursday … Partly sunny with a high near 84…
The chance of rain increases to 40% beginning Friday and continues thru Sunday night.
Did you see/hear the candidates for President … Not sure if the debate changed any minds … TBD … Election set for November 5th.

Back to the presidential debate … Brought back memories from the mid 70s when I was one of 12 or 13 candidates for Bladen County Commissioner … 3 seats were available, several incumbents announced for another office or did not seek re-election … I was one of three who were successful … We filed early, best I recall in February … First primary was in May … We were all pretty good friends … some I knew better than others … As the process proceeded, 2nd primary, then final election in November … Sometimes several of us would ride together to campaign meetings … Friends, and remained friends … Granted, not running for President…
MacKenzie Gore, Washington Nationals pitcher, had a “not so good outing” Tuesday after 2 or 3 good starts … Gore is a Columbus county native…
