Election Day is 51 days away … Sometimes I forget how active candidates can be and how much controversy can be exhibited. And, begins with candidates for the top office in the nation … Pray for all…

Some notes of interest related to the North Carolina election…

October 9, 2020. Voter registration deadline for the 2020 general election…

October 15 … Early voting period for the 2020 general election begins. Eligible individuals may register to vote during this period.

My guess is, unaffiliated voters will likely determine new office-holders…

As of September 12, 2020 … there were 22,370 eligible voters in Bladen…
Democrats – 10,700
Republicans – 4,677
Unaffiliated – 6,921
Others – 72

In North Carolina…
Democrats – 2,552,636
Republicans – 2,141,306
Unaffiliated – 2,374,167
Others – 49,501

There are over 7 million voters in the state and in 50 counties in the state there are more Democrats than Republicans … and in the other 50, just the opposite … And both political parties are ‘super’ active … and will be thru November 3, maybe beyond…

My uneducated guess … very few who have not made up their mind about who they will vote for … and the national election will be very close … in the Tar Heel state.

Vote as I do, for the individuals you think can do the best job for all … period.

“Being in politics is like being a football coach. You have to be smart enough to understand the game and dumb enough to think it’s important.” Minnesota Senator Eugene McCarthy (1959-1971)

“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” Napoleon Bonaparte, French Emperor

“When large numbers of men are unable to find work, unemployment results.” President Calvin Coolidge (1923-1929, sharing his insights on the complexities of the the labor market.

“I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer.” President Abraham Lincoln, demonstrating his knowledge of human nature.
