Presidential political polls are getting much closer, so we are told.
I listen to little of the rhetoric, attempt to read as much as possible. Many describe one of the mainline candidates as a crook, and one as a liar. I didn’t say that, others do. Take your pick. Kinda sad, maybe the reason nearly 11% of voters indicate they will cast a vote for the Libertarian or the Green ticket

Organizers of the Dublin Peanut Festival are busy, making sure all is ready for the 24th festival, Saturday (tomorrow). Headquarters will be Dublin School. Activities begin with a parade, followed by numerous activities including a BBQ lunch. Google Dublin Peanut Festival for all activities. It is a ‘Do Not Miss Activity’ in Bladen County. Proceeds are shared with numerous, worthy efforts in the area.
Think the Chicago Cubs can win it all this year. Their last World Series championship, was over 100 years ago. They won back to the back titles in 1907 and ’08. They later participated in 7 more, but did not win the series.
The Cubs are currently the leader in the NL Central division with a 93-53 record and a 17 game lead over the Cardinals. They clinched their division title last night, becoming the first team to make the playoffs in 2016.
