Thoughts While Shaving For September 24

Have heard numerous rumors related to activity at the old Elizabethtown Post Office. The facts, Bladen Agri-Industrial purchased the old building recently and it will be renovated and will become an incubator for individuals and small businesses that need a small office in the downtown area. The renovation has the support of town leaders. It should be an attractive facility, a huge change from a long time eye-sore in the eastern part of a very nice downtown area.

Ever feel you are on information overload? Presidential campaign & statewide races, political debates upcoming, unrest nearby including marches in downtown Charlotte, Lord help us Treat Others As We Would Like Them To Treat Us.

How much info do we need? Bet if truth be known, those who are still undecided are few, but could make the difference.

Ministers come and go, and all make a contribution to the area. But some get very involved in activities outside their church for the good of many. Rev. Chris Denny, Elizabethtown Presbyterian pastor is leaving the area, moving to South Carolina. His work and influence has been community-wide. He will be missed. We wish him much success as he moves on.

Had planned to be in Charlotte Sunday to see the Viking-Panthers football game. Not sure that is now a good idea. To be determined.
